Thanks to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. we were off of school today! Thankfully, after a weekend of rain, the sun tried to peek out of the clouds. The new African exhibit at the Houston Zoo opened in early December and being the zoo fanatics that we are, we have been dying to see it. We were not disappointed! It is a fantastic exhibit and the chimpanzees are so much fun to watch! I am so in love with my new camera (Thanks, Steve!) and got some great shots of some of the animals we saw throughout our day. They weren't all part of the African forest, but they were all pretty cool!
A great time was had by all, and we can't wait to go back!!!
