Kindergarten Roundup

Every year, the Kindergartners have a program to welcome all of the incoming Kindergartners. It is so stinkin' cute. Here is a short little video of Nolan singing some of the songs. You can't help but smile and dance a little bit too! :) We can't believe Nolan is almost finished with Kindergarten! My did the year FLY by!!!

Awards

Remember how I told you that Braden and Logan won for their essays and Steve won chapter teacher of the year! Well, we found out in mid april that Steve won for the whole state of Texas! On May 7th, we went to the Pioneer Log Cabin which is a museum for the San Jancinto chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas where the boys read their essays and all three of them received their awards. They all 3 received trophies and prize money....Logan $100, Braden $50 and Steve $500.  It was an afternoon to remember!

On May 13th, Steve and I traveled to San Antonio for the fancy dinner where he received his award for winning state...a Texas flag that flew over the Alamo on March 2, 2011, $500, a medal, and $500 for Mittelstadt. The people there treated us like royalty. We stayed at the Crowne Plaza hotel on the Riverwalk and enjoyed walking around and eating in San Antonio.

First Wedding Shower

On April 9th, I flew up to Indiana for my first wedding shower. It was a family shower thrown by my cousin, Carrie, who is one of my bridesmaids. We all had a great time and I got lots of great gifts. Thank you family for loving on me! I had a great time! :)

On Sunday, Aunt Kay, Carrie and I took Annabelle and Payton to the zoo. It was pretty hot for April in Indianapolis, but we had a great time. The girls loved all of the animals. I think Payton's favorite might have been the fish and Annabelle really liked the cheetah. There were some cute brand new babies too!

Annabelle LOVED the cheetah!
