Goodbye Barkley!

It is always sad when we have to tell Barkley goodbye! This year, Barkley left Braden and Nolan a little note since they would not be here on Christmas Eve. Nolan left a little note in return. :) 

All Aboard....

Two Christmas traditions in the Baird house are to look at Christmas lights and to get matching pajamas for Christmas Eve. Usually we open the pjs on Christmas Eve so we are picture ready on Christmas day. However, this year we did not have the littlest boys on Christmas Eve so we changed it up a little bit and combined two of our favorite traditions. All Aboard the Enclave Express....we had the pajamas waiting for them on their bed. After a quick dinner, we sent them upstairs to shower and put on their new pajamas. We then all climbed into the Enclave to go see Christmas lights. It was super fun. 

We stopped at the Bowersock house to say hello and they took a family matching pj picture for us!

Breakfast with the Grinch

In our Tuesday folders we got a flyer about a "Breakfast with the Grinch" at a local private school. Since Braden and Logan both had fun Christmas parties that day, Nolan and I decided to check it out. :) It was pretty fun....lots of games and green eggs and ham for breakfast. However, the Grinch was nowhere to be seen....we did get to get our picture taken with Santa again. The request remained the same.....a surprise...I sure hope this boy gets what he wants! 

 With Horton the Elephant

 One gigantic pancake....they had a contest: Horton the Elephant vs. the kids....who could finish the pancake first? 

Thankful

This sweet girl made my day. Sweet Makenzie, I am so thankful for you and am so glad that I get to be your teacher! I love you! 

The Grinch

Every Year, our sweet librarian at school acts out a Christmas story. This year she did How the Grinch Stole Christmas. We always get to wear our pajamas to school. Some of the fourth grade teachers wore Grinch pajamas and got to pose with the Grinch herself! :) Davis and Kamie Bowersock also joined my class to hear the story. They were so cute! :) 

Barkley is Back!

Barkley, our shelf elf, reappeared on the Monday morning after Thanksgiving. We love our shelf elf and can't wait to see where he will be and what he will do each morning. We enjoyed all of his many antics over the month of December!

Walk Through Bethlehem

Every year a local church has an event called Walk Through Bethlehem. Although I have lived in the area for over 25 years, this is the first year I have actually walked through. I was totally missing out! It is such a great event! We went because Logan actually volunteered for hours through his teen service group. We figured if he was there working that we should go through it before picking him up. I wish we would have allowed more time. Next year, we will certainly add this to our Christmas traditions and will make sure to give ourselves at least 2 hours to fully enjoy the entire town!
