Mr. and Mrs. Dale Baird

On December 27, 2012, Steve's oldest brother, Dale, married Jennifer Williams. This makes me the ONLY girl in the Baird family NOT named Jennifer! :) We love Jennifer and are so excited to welcome her and her children, Chase and Alex, into our family. They got married aboard the cruise ship Triumph, and then after the wedding actually sailed out of Galveston. Unfortunately, we weren't able to cruise with them (some of the family did), but we did have fun exploring the cruise ship and celebrating their marriage! We love you Dale, Jennifer, Alex, Chase, Hallie and Ella!

Baby Shower for Rogan

My sweet friend, Cori, had her first baby, Rogan, on December 18th. Jessica and I threw her a baby shower on the 8th to celebrate him! It was super fun. Cori got some great gifts for Baby Rogan, and we all had a blast playing "guess the candy bar poo."

End of the Season

At the end of the season, the football players had a banquet to celebrate their season! Nolan was super excited to get his trophy! He had a blast playing football and can't wait until next year!

The Olympics!

The Olympics are one of my very favorite sporting events EVER!! Someday, I want to go to both the Summer and the Winter Olympics. It is a good thing these olympics weren't during school or I would be exhausted. I have been watching as much of them as I have been able to watch! Gymnastics and Swimming are my two very favorite events, but I like them all and will watch them all! Man, were there some spectacular moments in the London 2012 games. One morning during the Olympics, I decided to make the boys Olympic Rings pancakes. So I divided the batter into five bowls and added food coloring to each bowl...green, blue, red, yellow, and black....all the colors of the rings. They turned out pretty cute. The only color that was hard was black....it looked a little more purple or gray, but you get the idea. The boys thought they were fantastic!

Happy Birthday, Braden!

On July 18, Braden turned 11! He got all sorts of fun stuff including a new swim bag for year round swimming and a kickboard. He also got a year subscription of Xbox live so that he can play with all of his buddies. We went to lunch at Shogun which is a hibatchi grill place. It was fun to watch the chefs make all the food in front of us. Everyone's favorite is always the volcano. After church activities, we ate a cookie cake to continue celebrating. It was fun day!

He is really 11, but we only had a 3 candle! :)

End of Season Swim Party

As is always the case, we had an end of season swim party and the boys received trophys. There are always special awards given out and Braden received the Band-aid award. During practice, he scraped the bottom of the pool working on his dive....he has some great scars on his chest to prove it. Coach Liz gave him a special plaque. :) Such a great year for everyone!
