Seniors Visit Mittelstadt

Every year, Mrs. Levy invites the graduating Patriots to come back to Mittelstadt to impart their wisdom on the fifth graders. This year's senior class is especially special for a couple of reasons....one....they were my favorite fourth grade class ever as a whole....I definitely have favorites from every class that I taught, but this class was extra loaded with favorites. :) and two....NINE of them are children of Mittelstadt teachers. What cool kids. They are going all over for college and it was sure fun to have them all back under the Mittelstadt roof.

It was Mrs. Balke's favorite class too :) Look how many of them showed up!

Logan Wins Another Award!

Bet you didn't know that Logan was such a great writer....First he wins the Texas History writing contest last year as a seventh grader, and this year he wins the Do the Write Thing challenge. The topic was on Bullying and Anti-Violence. Each student at Kleb submitted an essay and one boy and one girl was chosen from each school....Logan was the chosen boy! We were so proud!  We were invited to a very nice reception and lunch at Minute Maid Park. As soon as I can get my hands on his essay I will publish it so you can hear this thoughts on bullying, but in the meantime, here are some pictures from the event

Nolan's Birthday Party

Nolan decided that he wanted to celebrate his 7th birthday at the bowling alley! So we did! It turned out to be a really fun party, and the kids had a blast! Most of his friends had either never bowled before or had only bowled once or twice. We got bumpers so that no one got any gutter balls! All of Nolan's very best buddies were able to come to his party and he got some pretty great gifts as well! Mom says that planning birthday parties is stressful, but well worth it!!

Catching Up

So....I am behind again! :) However, now that it is summer I am hoping to catch up. I think we left off with Michael's birthday party so the next post should be Nolan's birthday party! Yes, I know that was at the end of January and it is now June...no biggie, right? First I have to download all of our thousands of pictures onto the computer and then I can work on blogging. I also need to figure out how to transfer all of our pictures to our external hard drive....actually I think Steve figured out how to do that....now we just have to do it. Stay tuned....more fun really soon! :)
